I want to apply for a loan but my credit rating is not very good. Do I get a better chance of getting the loan by applying from a branch or online??

    Right now, it is more difficult than ever to get a loan without good credit because of the credit crisis we’re in.

    Perhaps it would be better if you did not try to get a loan right now. You could try to improve your credit history by making regular, on-time payments to any loans or credit cards you have now. Taking out another loan, even if you were successful, would only serve to lower your credit score, under most circumstances.

    All that being said, you might try going to a small credit union instead of a bank. If there is a good reason for your poor credit rating, then the credit union is more likely to look beyond just a credit score.
